The District will provide reasonable break time for a non-exempt (i.e., hourly) employee to express breast milk for her nursing child in a place, other than a bathroom, that is shielded from view and free from intrusion by co-workers and the public for 1 year after the child’s birth. The break time for this purpose will be unpaid unless the non-exempt employee uses paid break time to which she is otherwise entitled under an applicable collective bargaining agreement, individual employment contract, or employee handbook.
